Exhibition Visit and October Gallery Talk
Join the OG Youth Collective at 11am at Saatchi Gallery for two exhibition visits: “Barndommens Drømme (Childhood Dreams)” by Jack Kabangu and “A Moment to Myself” by Deborah Segun - both shows explore themes around how dreams, memory, self, and nature connect.
At 2 o'clock, we’ll head over to the October Gallery (free entry!) for an artist talk with curator Eleri Fanshawe and artists Xanthe Somers and Gaia Ozwyn about their work featured in the “Material Sensibilities” exhibition. The artists will discuss how material choices (bold ceramics and textured paintings) shape their creative process - see you then for snacks/chat and art viewing.

About The OG Youth Collective
This is a FREE drop-in art group for young people living in London aged 14 - 24. We usually meet on the first and last Monday of every month. We welcome everyone and do all sorts. We make art, film, create exhibitions and discuss current events, as well as visiting other local museums and galleries to further our understanding of contemporary art and exhibitions.
The OG Youth Collective sessions offer opportunities to develop traditional and contemporary art skills. The sessions are led by artists, designers, and OG youth leaders. Covering a range of creative industries including art, design, craft, fashion, digital media, and performance.
Youth Collective members are offered work experience opportunities and youth leadership roles, including programme planning and curatorial input. We support young people in gaining GCSE/AS Level and A Level arts qualifications and CV development and have a yearly exhibition at October Gallery.
If you would like to find out more about the group; other work experience and volunteering opportunities within our education programme, please email Esther Adesigbin, Esther@octobergallery.co.uk

What Youth Collective Members say:
‘Through the Youth Collective I have visited galleries and exhibitions that I wouldn’t have visited alone, and had amazing in-depth conversations about art with others in the group. Being a part of the Youth Collective helps me to see art in a different way.’
‘The OG youth collective has helped me become much more confident within the world of art, it has opened up so many different networks and opportunities that I wouldn’t be able to get elsewhere.’
‘The OG education team have helped me so much and given me the space where I can express myself freely and creatively and even just talk about something that has been on my mind. Whenever I have been having a bad week the YC is always a place I can detach from everything going around and just have a fun time.’
