ZANA MASOMBUKA: NGES’RHODLWENI: A PORTAL FOR BLACK JOY

5 – 30 SEPTEMBER, 2023

South African Artist Zana Masombuka's solo exhibition at the October Gallery promises to be an exciting mixed media show with photography, film and sculpture.

These striking works explore community, ritual and ceremony. Beaded abstract sculptural forms are reminiscent of intricate geometric patterns of Ndebele beadwork and traditional woven cloth. All of these elements come together to form an exciting exhibition for children to explore different mediums and cultures and communities as well as creating their very own artwork inspired by these pieces in the Gallery space surrounded by the art works.

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
