From 15th June until 29th July the amazing work of October Gallery artist Aubrey Williams will be on show at October Gallery.

A founder of the Caribbean Artists Movement in the UK he is widely recognised for the breadth of his abstract and figurative art and for his contribution to establishing an international platform for Afro Caribbean heritage artists.

In the exhibition art workshops we will focus on painting to music and explore some traditional Afro Caribbean fabric printing techniques inspired by the work of legendary textile artist Althea McNish

On the 22nd June 2023 it's the 75th anniversary of the arrival of Empire Windrush, so as part of the school workshops we will also be marking the incredible contributions of the Windrush generation to our communities. Schools will be invited to create an artwork about their community to be displayed in "All For One, One For All", our Youth Collective 'take over' exhibition at the end of July.

To book your school workshop please contact jess@octobergallery.co.uk

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
