Brion Gysin: Unseen Collaborator

Monday 6th July - Friday 2nd October

Over the Summer 2015 and into the next term we will be working with amazing performance artist Evan Ifekoya who will be creating multi-sensory and mixed media workshops for students of all ages to explore the works of Brion Gysin.

Brion Gysin was a painter, writer, sound poet, and performance artist who alongside William S Burroughs discovered the cut-up technique; cutting up and rearranging text to create a new text. The workshops will explore this technique and the link to sound, art and text as well as reflect on some of Gysin's more calligraphic work which he is also well renowned for.

Here, at the October Gallery we try to run all our projects and events with little, or no financial cost for our community.

Sadly, this means that we can not offer refunds because the fee is going towards keeping our programme exciting and accessible for ALL art lovers and allows us to keep working as a charity.
