OG Education Exhibition

P.O.V: Pigeons Don't Run This City

Thursday 4th - Saturday 6th July 2024

October Gallery Education invites you to their 2024 annual show, ‘P.O.V: Pigeons Don't Run This City’ featuring innovative mixed media artworks. Curated by the OG Youth Collective, this exhibition offers a unique exploration of how individuals are perceived in various contexts and environments.

Artworks with themes of "Person and Place," reflect different viewpoints on the vibrant city of London, capturing its movement, energy, and the layered communal memories it holds.

The exhibition challenges visitors to consider how context shapes perception. It invites viewers to ponder: How do pigeons view us? This intriguing question sets the stage for a reflection on urban life from an unconventional vantage point.

Discover the collaborative spirit of the exhibition through artworks developed with OGE Beacon schools, community groups, and art education freelancers.

Come and see the world through different eyes, and perhaps share your own point of view.

Featured Artworks and Collaborations:

Assemblage Collective: A collaborative matchbook artwork showcasing the diverse artistic voices and observations of the young creatives in Assemblage and OG Youth Collectives.

Holborn Community Association:  Local young artists exploring their shared experience of London life and cultural identity in the ‘Same Sea Different Boat’ project.
